If I ever get around to it :)

Right now, trying to finish up the diesel heater install, then 12v water.

You are way more sophisticated than we are.

Water = Two 5gal front runner jerry cans with spigot.
Heater = Mr. Buddy, who doesn't work that well is sub-freezing temps, but then again we are more 3 season campers so should work out okay.
Velcro is my kind of mod. Here's our latest upgrade in the decor category.

    You mean something like this...

    913199F8-F53D-4547-8FEB-9F7E1C5A5B5A.jpg

There are 4 BROG pouches up at the front in this photo, but we keep them at the back corners most of the time to keep keys, phones, random stuff that you want within reach in bed.

2” HD Velcro fits just about perfect. Also keeps you from having a cold back when you are sitting

Finally got the electrical panel extended and Contura switches installed (on one side).

If you care about the look of the panel, don't cut from the front side, haha...

Where are you locating your diesel heater? Which one are you using?

    I mounted mine like this:

Its the only thing that is permanently mounted. My cabinets/furniture/battery will cover it up but they are easily removable. It is a Webasto Airtop 2000 ST. I couldn't really go for a cheaper version as I need high altitude operation.

    Easy;
I’m with C. on this one and would love to see more of how it looks inside, especially inside the boxes and anything else you would be willing to share.
Now that I am thinking of it, there is something I wish there was more of in the many generously shared pics by willing owners, and that is people. It is one thing to see these sweetly designed and laid out spaces, but without people in them the perspective just isn’t there. Does that make sense?

    Just the basics
Hey a Lagun table mount. Are you the first to do this with a Drifter? Looks great. I had one in my FWC Finch and never regretted that. It came in handy many times. Mainly in inclement weather.

Perhaps, but I’ll get over it. Ha.
Thanks! It is helpful and appreciate it. Seeing you in the lower level does put some perspective on it for sure. I recall (I think) way back in the thread you mentioned that table and you pull it up at might as a night stand. Agree with ETAV8TR, looks like a super functional item.

Side note: Another thanks to all that post here with your helpful ideas. I am compiling a list of “maybe” items to consider based on the plethora of suggestions. The many visuals are very helpful.

    Nice forum/Nice folks.

 Thanks, glad it’s helpful! This was down at the ocean in a monsoon when I still had some work to finish up. Stayed dry and warm and got some work done surprisingly. There is another photo some where in this thread that Phil or Iggy posted up of four of us hanging out in side up at the mountain. That’s what this build and this camper is all about, versatility.

The Lagun table is great. I might be the only person so far to adapt one to a Drifter build but these have been around for a while. I actually got tipped off on it from Phil when he and I were at the northwest overland rally last year. A couple that builds rad tow behind campers out of Bend (Overkill Campers) had one in their camper and so I got to play around with it. I actually built something very similar in my Flippac but wasn’t nearly as refined as this.

The best part about it is that it completely stows away in the left cabinet. Slides into some channel that runs vertically along the inside wall. Completely out of the way and can be set up in seconds.

Im getting Drifter stir-crazy so I'm working on build plans. I know this has been touched on already but I couldn't find the right page so I thought I'd just ask again. For the flooring, it seems that Birch plywood is the go-to, correct?

Secondly, is there a good way to go about getting the right measurements for it? I think I saw some folks using a cardboard template to get it right.

If you have a bed mat, just copy that. If you don’t, I believe the measurements are in the first few pages of this thread.

Goose Gear uses birch, so that's what I opted for too. However I think they use 3/4" and I went with 1/2" to cut a little bit of weight. I used the bed mat to trace it. More details here:
Thankfully I have pull out drawers on the left side to hide the imperfection of the baseplate

I don't have a bed mat, hence me asking. But I'll check those pages.
