    That could be. Contact the manufacturer. It's all going to depend on the aluminum alloy that was used.

    If you carry serious weight on your rack I'd Contact Prinsu and tell them the situation and ask what replacements would cost. Pass the bill to the buddy or split with him. That would be my 2 cents. If you just do light stuff I'd bend back to shape and guilt trip your friend for life lol. You'll get over it in time.

    Again, it's not designed for force in that direction! It is designed for carrying stuff on top of it, which it would do very well.

    Why? Do you mount the kayack on the side of the rack with a person sitting in it?
