They make some badass racks that fold flat on the wall for people with not much space.

My "home gym" experience began more out of necessity. The gyms around me at the time all wanted me to sign a contract and give them a credit card or access to my bank account which I wasn't going to do, or I had to pay for a year at a time which, at that time, there was always a chance I would move before my time was up and I'd lose out. Now it's necessity because there are simply NO gyms around me and time is too much a factor. For my setup it does require some ingenuity sometimes because I have no dumbbells, cables or anything other than the rack, bar, EZ curl bar and about 500lbs or so of barbell weight. I do pullups occasionally from the trusses in my shop, dips between 2 sawhorses and just hook 2 or 3 fingers through the barbell hole on my weights for "dumbbell" curls, side laterals or whatever would otherwise require 'bells. Just gotta be committed to the cause! :D

I got the Power Blocks adjustable dumbbells. Things are great and save a lot of space. I just hate going to gyms and waiting to use shit, so I managed in my tiny ass garage to get what I needed. I just need a curl bar now and a few extra plates for the barbell and I have pretty much everything I need. Except a rower which I may now be buying and stuffing in to there somehow

Yeah I gave some serious thought to the powerblocks but I was just too cheap in the end! lol It forced me to find a work around and it's done alright, but I still wouldn't mind having some one day maybe. They are definitely a great idea.

I was between those and the Bowflex adjustables. I ended up with the PowerBlocks because you can buy expansion set for it to take it up to I think 70lbs maybe even 90?. But ya, they are definitely a bit pricy, but they're great. I love them. They do make some things more difficult due to them being a block like that, but overall I'd buy them again. I'll take a pic of my garage setup in a bit, but I had no other choice if I wanted dumbbells really.

I'm certainly not huge, but I have decent muscle size, problem is my height. If you condensed me 8 inches like nearly all the pros, I'd be thick AF haha. #tallguyproblems :pout:

Edit; also I think if I stood as close to the mirror as some of them damn IG punks I'd look 3x bigger, but then when they stand next to their gf the girl is nearly as big as them #allaboutangles.

If I angle my shoulder just right, it's as big as my GF's head

Having room for a home gym means having a seperate building. It will be a cold day in hell when I use any garage space at all for a gym.

Thats my shop. My oversized two car is already too small for my vehicles and tools.

Thats the goal though... one day have a 4 car garage a detached shop and a detached gym

How tall are you ? What’s the ideal height for the pros? Ideal being dramatic of course but curious.
I think I have a good build to compete if I ever got super serious.

Then get super fit and sell memberships to some friends in your private gym. Bam. More money for more shop = more cars.

    5’9-5’10.

    186-187 according to scale.

Wish I could get down to 175.

I just say that cause I follow one dude on IG who ended up selling memberships to his personal gym and it’s only open a few days a week and stuff.

Be a easy way to make side cash lol

    6'1".

Ideally 5'7"-5'8" is probably best for BB. Some dudes are over 6", but they are genetic freaks (well lets be honest, all these guys are).

If you are 185 now, by the time you were stage ready you'd be maybe 155#. It's incredible how much you have to trim off to be stage lean... Imagine being stage lean at 265#... Just fucking INSANE

Even if I had the property to build a gym I see it as a liability. I deal with other ppls lawsuits all day I don’t need my own haha.
What was Arnolds stage weight? 225 at 6’2’’?

Forgot to post this yesterday. Pic of small garage with gym. Hopefully can fit a rower once I get rid of the fish tank and put my spare back on my truck
