So my take is...cage is not something you have ever done...cool so you are that guy. I have checked out a few approaches with caging and collabed with shops as well for best approaches should I ever wanted to take the dive.

I do agree that painting is the last step, but sounds like he wants to gusset those areas based off some good feedback. I just find it funny everyone is quick to say that its done done and they arnt even doing the work.

 

You don't have to explain yourself, I would have just replied with this.

Nothing is ever done done. Roof was painted because I thought it was done, but am taking the constructive feedback and will add some 1/4” gussets. B- pillars were always going to be gusseted.

 

I agree for the most part. I just would never call my wife a hoe on a public forum(that my wife isn't a part of) in front of a bunch of strangers to try and look cool, but to each their own.

Been married for nearly 10 years, together for about 15. One of my old mentors coined the term “The Silly Bitch” affectionately for my wife. She knows it’s a term of endearment.

 

Lol I have no use for an internal cage on my trucks. I don’t go brap brap fast off road... I go slow. My crawler crawls and my tundra dd’s. Doesn’t mean I don’t have experience with fab work or with cages or engineering. So no, I’m not “that guy” because I pointed out material issues. And he’s now aware and decided to correct them.

 

But if she really WAS a ho. It would make YOU look like the idiot, not her, if you are still dating her. Cracks me up when people get offended for other people.

Looking at a custom bedrack made to replace the current version I have. What was the local shop people on here mentioned has bad welds/welder? I recall seeing it about a week or so ago but I can’t remember which thread. Need to go into this process eyes wide open.

Found what I was looking for when you sent this, and confirmed. Bigger shit storm than I remembered. I had @JeepAndrew make my last rack, might go that route again if he is still making stuff.
