    I'm copying this from the Northern CA BS thread, maybe someone can help me out with this issue I'm having.

    Can anyone diagnose a no-start issue for me?

    Story goes I installed a supercharger on my truck, 1998 PreRunner 4x4 2.7l I4 3RZ-FE. First time I cranked it, fuel was spurting out of Injector 4. I pulled the fuel rail the next day and replaced the O-Rings. Bingo, no more fuel leak.

    However the truck would not turn over. It would slowly crank, but never start. It sounds like a dying starter or a dead battery.

    So here's what I did: I tested the battery, 11.6 volts. Should be fine. Then I tried jumping it with my Mercedes-Benz E320, same result. Slow crank, no difference.

    Then I unhooked the battery from the Tacoma completely and ran jumper cables directly from the Mercedes to the battery harness on the Tacoma. I held the E320 at 2,000 RPM. 13.8v at the Tacoma battery harness (sans battery)

    Surprise! Same issue, slow crank.

    I suspect bad starter, so I pull it out and take it to AutoZone. It passed with flying colors. However, I question the validity of AutoZone's test. I haven't tested it against the Toyota FSM yet, but I plan to.

    I checked the resistance between the positive battery cable and the positive stud on the starter. Varies between 0.4 and 0.6 Ohms. Normal. I tried grounding the starter directly to a good ground point (LCA bolt) via jumper cable, no difference.

    I touched two grounds: Firewall x Engine Block, and Intake Manifold x Injector Harness. They're both grounded fine it appears, I filed down the paint on the manifold ground. I ripped off the engine coolant sensor by accident, but I repaired it. That's about it electrical wise besides unplugging sensors on the block and manifold plus EGR.

    Now that’s not that tiny two wire sensor under the intake manifold is it? I think I’m thinking of the knock sensor.

    I messed with that connector for a while and there’s a possibility I could’ve damaged it.

    It's less Tacoma and more mod
    Why are we talking about codes and sensors, it isn't cranking fast enough to start. It's one of three things, starter, battery, cabling...

    Im wondering if this is fuel pump related. Im guessing you replaced yours when it was supercharged?
