What Have You Done To Your 3rd Gen Today?

Installed king 2.5 coilivers & rear shocks along with headstrong progressive AAL this past weekend. Today the Nitto ridge grapplers got mounted up on some bronze SCS F5’S.

 

I ended up getting a new dog (black) from the humane society and they somehow threw in free 5100s and Toyo R/Ts!

 

Thank you! I did do the BLHM myself, got to say it was quite the project but 100% worth the sweat.

I think the matte black X-Trek Grille Insert goes great with the BLHM, best thing is that you stand out from 99% of everyone else with a faux pro grille but in a good way.

Spoiler alert: there is no difference in power or MPG. I still really like mine!

 

I used newspaper and painter's tape to mask the area around the emblem to avoid overspray. Sprayed several light coats, basically keep going until it looks good and even. then peel off the dip around the emblem, using a plastic toothpic to get in between the letters. It's actually very easy. If you do get some overspray, light rubbing with your hand can remove it. It's not like paint at all.

 

Very Nice! I'm wanting to get a screen for my RasPi to do the same thing, only it will run my HAM radio hotspot. Any tips on mounting it in there?

TVDVinylDecals.com they weren’t that hard to put on. I peeled the sheet with the decal and lined it up over the letters. Pressed and peeled.

Question for 3rd gen owners.. I noticed while working under the hood that this threaded hole had no bolt/cover. Does anyone else have this? Why would there be an empty threaded nut? I got this 3rd gen TRD sport 6 months ago. It's just behindd the dip stick on passenger side. Taco 6 months ago...

Thanks. Yeah I hope you find a good deal, it's nice to have a truck that sounds like a truck finally and not a sedan. I went stainless Instead of the black because I've left the rear bumper ends chrome and the emblems chrome so I just wanted to to tie it all together alittle more because I'm being lazy and dont want to black it all out even though it would look better.
