Around Wilmington? I have recently looked in to it and found that either companies won't/cant do it for south of $800, including low range. East coast gear supply is in Raleigh, I contacted them last week and they got me in for today for a 1/4 of the price. They did a great job. Give them and call, worth the drive.

    Nice!

I know that Low Range is at a minimum of a week out on getting someone in.. Plus I dont have a clue of what they would charge for that job.

While I was shopping around Wilmington, I contacted Low Range, don't recall who I talked to, but they quoted $42X. I called them back a few days later to schedule and the guy that answered said he doesn't do that there and to contact XXX in Wilmington who wanted the 800-900 range. I called East Coast and they were able to quote $1XX. The reason I put the x's is bc I am not part of the companies and can't control their price vs labor and time and such.

Yea thats why I always talk to Josh at LR. I dont know if he owns the place or just runs it but hes always shot me straight and given me good deals..

Thats odd though that you got two different quotes on the cost.. must not be their niche.

I figured as much, talk to different people get different results in a company that size, boss vs employee etc. I called East Coast out of shits and gigs and with their quote LR couldn't beat it even with the gas to and from, plus a vacation day from work, I got paid anyway :D

@Tacoless East Coast got me in today, but they explained I had to be there on time because they were scheduled for other appointments. That being said, I also heard prior to calling they were booked several weeks out, so results may vary.

Exactly what I was thinking.. plus it came from up north so that’s another strike

Still a good looking truck and would be a good starting point if it isn’t slowly rusting away

Anyone been out on the beach at Freeman Park and notice it being alot more narrow than previous years??? I was there today at low tide and I only parked about 500 yards in. But looking north of where I was, it just seemed like there was not alot of room, and I couldnt imagine how much more narrow it'd be at high tide.

Definitely had to air down today though. There were quite a few getting stuck, including some poor sap with an AWD Audi or VW that was clearly in the wrong place.

Really think I need to get a pass to Fort Fisher.

The hurricane really messed up the beach down there is what I’ve been told.. couple of months ago, the middle section of the beach was only one car wide and one set of tires were in wet sand.. bad enough they had to shut it down during high tide.. if you were on the far north end and didn’t get back, you had to wait til the tide let out.

They’ve been dredging and pumping sand back out there but it’ll be a long time before it back to normal.

I saw a black 3rd gen today with a softopper on N College today. Looked lifted.. is that anyone on here? It was a good looking truck

The Hurricanes always do that though. They were dredging up where we are at because it brought in enough sand to pretty much fill the inlet up. It's just mother nature taking care of her own.
