Hey all, I had a question that I couldn’t find being asked anywhere else previously. I see consoles for the 2005-2011s and slightly different consoles for the 2012-2015s. Long story short, would a 2015 console fit in my 2010 as a direct swap?

Why would you want to lose the temp/compass panel on the earlier consol to go for the later that doesnt have them ?

NUMMI Probably getting tired of resoldering the resistors back onto the compass/temperature display circuit board.

Maybe next time. Got a good deal on a Weller solder station at an estate sale last month and immediately went home and reattached the resistors for the second time. Display working now, so I’ll start the clock to see how long this repair last or if my soldering skills have improved since first repair.

One of the main issues with them not failing the second time is to use a standard style resistor, and not the factory one. The standard style has much more surface area for the solder to adhere to. I've done mine twice now. First time I re-soldered the factory resistor, it lasted 2-3 months. Second time using a standard style, I'm coming up on two years now, and it's still holding.

Correct. I have a garage door opener and a sunglasses holder. I would like two sunglasses holders. I only see this as an option on the 2012-2015 overhead console.

i can't imagine it not fitting. the 2015 tacoma is essentially the same as the 05+ minus the front end of the body.

This is my thought as well, I just wanted to see if anyone has done it before I buy another console.

Try to meet up with someone local to do a test fit.
