    Woudnt that be kinda difficult on the 2.7? That starter is buried.

    I think it'd be rather easy to have a battery on floor and some wire with alligator clips. At least in my opinion. And yes, I've pulled my starter a few times I know where it is

    But to hold test leads on it while its being cranked? Remember he has the SC pulley in the way now too.

    Nobody cranking, key in on position, battery on floor next to tire, remove tire if you need, connect clips to battery terminals, connect clips to starter

    I’m pretty sure. I don’t think unplugged vacuum lines or sensors would cause a slow crank.

    I’m not putting that old starter back in unless I know for sure it’s good. I’m going to test it against the FSM instructions later.

    It has to fit through here. It took me longer to remove it than to actually unbolt it and remove the connectors.

    Two different procedures. Either one will tell us if full voltage is getting to starter

    If electrical testing this is too confusing than he should prolly just have it diagnosed

    If crank sensor isn't connected it won't fire. I'm not saying it's causing your slow issue just suggesting that it sounds fast enough to fire to me.


    I pulled my starter out through the wheel well and didn't think it was too bad.

    The day and age were a standard trans was better than an auto is long gone. Sure 3 pedals are more fun and take more skill but thats about it.
