When we hunted Maine we would always try to help someone who was a "dumb ass"! Some of the places we hunted had culverts ripped out, bridges missing, big iced over water puddles, drainage ditches off the side of the road, North Woods roads that weren't plowed, logging trucks coming down the middle of the road where they have the right of way, etc.! One time we drove through a flooding stream to get a buck that one of the guys had shot, you do what you gotta do! The next "dumb ass" that needed help might have been us, so it was kind of like a pay it forward thing.

Worst weather for camping around Memorial Day weekend I think I have ever seen. It can sometimes be wet, but not for this long. Been for a week or so now, extending into next week. Good year for me to not have a garden.

    Morning all:
Don't feel lonely Duane, we are saturated here!
So far a repeat of last year, can't fish the river for walleye or shad, got up this morning to go turkey hunting and it was raining, later on it poured, glad I went back to bed. They weren't calling for rain in the morning but have a severe thunderstorm alert for the PM.

After seed is planted and up. My corn would be rotting, too wet, cold for beans, beans like warm weather, usually wait to plant beans late May, but try to plant by the moon.

Don't know what happened, little worried someone got info and drained some funds. Can't see how I can check numbers from day before to see what happened.

Ouch Duane! Friday wasn't that bad of a day in general but certain sectors did fall off. Still 17% is a huge drop! Hard to explain a one-day drop that big simply through changes in valuation.

    D-ring tie-downs.
Ive been getting a little anxious lately with my 401k fund choices. Pulled some Wednesday from aggressive to preserve this years gains. Dropping that big of percentage doesn't reflect the market. Follow the S&P 500, hopefully your $ gain is close to or better than it. With as big of a drop you had, hopefully you had at least a 35% run-up since January 1st.

The market is pretty quirky with what makes it rise and fall. Overall there has never been a time when the market fell and did not rise above a previous high. We just need to be patient.

My total amount in funds I have, had risen to amount I had back in early October, even with monthly withdrawals, so what I had on Friday was less than after Christmas where everything really dropped, but still in one day. ? Thanks, I'll ask him to look.

The ladies I used to work with at H-D, told me last week that a employee at a dealership we worked with, had asked about me. I had tried to contact her over a year ago, but was told she no longer worked in Vegas. When I retired she wanted me to join FB so we could stay in touch, but I told her no, did not like FB. Well, she and her husband :( moved to Florida and she was doing the same work for a dealership there. I emailed them and she responded right away. I always enjoyed talking with her, or was it more like listening to her? Always nice when us geezers can corral a young person for a few minutes of one on one talk. One of a few "phone" girl friends I had thru work.

    Sue, I feel your pain.

Hot and humid here with above average temps. Went from Spring to summer in a 24 hour period last Thursday.

How hard it is to replace a thermostat by someone who doesn't know anything about electricity..... other than flip a switch and it's supposed to work??

It's usually not hard. Follow the directions as to what color wire goes to which terminal, and you should be fine.

Oh, and it's all 24 volts, so you don't have to worry about getting shocked.

Write down what color wire is on what terminal on existing shat before doing anything. Maybe take a pic with your phone. Denergize power to inside unit. Remove wires and shat. Install new shat, connect wires according to how they were connected to old shat. Energize unit you are done.
