Yeah, there's no way that it'll be open all the way through. I'd be surprised if it's clear enough to get to the rock garden.

Officially planning to go to FJ Summit this year. (If I missed a answer to this question already, please advise). Wanting to get some insight on some of the trails that are available during/at this event in Ouray. Are there some good stops in Colorado that I should be intentional about while in route from Washinton?

@In4aride thank you for the prompt reply and call to action (about being a good stewart of the trails). Will definitely be looking into the resources you mentioned. Especially the blm in Montrose, this is exactly what I was looking for!

Picked a bad year. I bet over 1/2 the trails will still be closed due to snowpack and leftover avalanches. Lots of towns have switched to flood preparations.

Nope, they closed camp ground for summer as base for reforestation of burn area last year. They sent me a refund and notice 2 weeks ago. :annoyed:

Nephew Graduated HS so been in Chicago with family until last night.

I'm up for wrenching day or Day wheel trip, Thought about trying to try camping outside Red Cliff off CO703 or Homestake Reservoir Rd (heard fishing is small but decent), but could be very crowded or snowy.

My Saturday is currently looking like a UCA bushing swap, brake line replacement/bleeding, solar panel install and who knows, maybe a leaf spring swap as well.

Hopefully my cast will be off soon so I can start assisting with these wrench days. I have some debt to pay off :curls:
