Are those original shocks too? Just replacing those will drastically improve your ride as well.

Looks normal given the age. Not new per say, but not quite in need of replacement yet.

Dude I couldn't tell ya if they are original or not haha. Everything under there seems like its in relatively good shape. I'm not expert but my frame is still nice and black too like its a year old lol.

Well hopefully my bed doesn't bend straight back when they do go out, Any signs or noises that'll occur when they do go out?

    You mean like this? :D

That's frame rust, not shocks or leafs.

There's not really much of a danger of the leaf springs "giving out" catastrophically. The just sag more. I can't remember ever hearing of someone breaking some leafs.

If you’re worried about them it definitely wouldn’t hurt to replace them.

Spray paint definitely freshens things up under there when things get dirty lol

Valid point my friend, I just don't want to spend the money to replace them if their life span isn't over quite yet ya know?

Whatever you do, dont buy cheap leaf springs. That includes General Springs, SD springs etc. Ive had mine out 4x in the last year trying to solve the squeaks. Finally pinpointed and hopefully solved the issue today, but if I had bought decent stuff to begin with I wouldnt have had the headache. But yours looks like they still have a few years or so in them unless you haul blocks of lead around in your freetime.

I am a Lead block salesman so maybe I should go ahead and replace them... Jokes aside I definitely won't cheap out on my baby (truck). I have to get her into the 500,000 mile club eventually. :anonymous:

I had great Luck with all my Springs Bought from General Spring .

I had both springs broken after I loaded the truck the first time I guess that 500 pounds was a Shock .

I had quite a few springs break over the years the bad part is if they twist and hit the tire

So where should I buy springs from? I don’t want to spend a fortune on them.

Expect to pay around $6-700 on good quality leafs. Honestly a good price considering you'll likely never need to replace them again.

One thing to remember is springs are heavy look into shipping costs when factoring in the best deal.

General Spring will continue to be my Go to dealer for springs as there price with shipping is cheaper then local dealers

My leaf springs look the same way and my shocks are shot. I'm replacing everything with the OME HD spring package

    Have anyone heard about https://www.truckspring.com/

That company offers OEM replacement for our trucks, not looking for any lift at all , about 636 shipped to your place. Thoughts ?

I would replace them, but it is not pressing. You can probably knock out replacing them in half a day. My truck was completely rusted and I had to cut EVERY bolt out and dissect the thing to replace mine and it took a day and a half to do. Given the condition your truck is in, I think you will have a much easier time.
