I just upgraded from a 2000 prerunner to a new 2009 4WD tacoma. The stock tires are 265's on 17" rims. Can I jump up to 275's without have to do any other modifications? I really dont want a lift but I like the added traction and the way these trucks look with larger tires.

BTW - first time posting....long time reader

I know that the 265/75 will work fine and you need a 3" lift with the 285/75s (with minor trimming). But not sure about the 275s....

I haven't changed tires yet - still running the stock 265/70/16s. But, I'm lifting my truck next week (assuming parts arrive), then switching to 285s.
