Hey Gang- I live in the upper Midwest, and it’s time to replace the OEM BF Goodrich Rugged Trail T/As on my 2015 Tacoma TRD Pro Extra Cab. The vast majority of my driving is on paved surface roads, although I do some off-road driving for camping/fishing/shooting.
I have never liked the OEM BF Goodrich P265 70R16s on my 2015 Tacoma, they suck in the rain. For winter, I bought a second set of rims and mounted Bridgestone Blizzaks which I love- but winter is finally over. What would you all recommend for an all season tire that would be quiet on the highway but still give me decent off road traction in mud and dirt?

There are many solid choices depending on where you live, how you drive and what you are looking for in your tires.

If we can help you narrow down your choices please send us a PM.

Who stole your tires? 2015 TRD Pros came with 265/70/16 BFG AT's from the factory, not Rugged trails (though they came on my 1st gen Tundra and they SUCK). If you want a nice ride go with P rated, if you don't care about ride get LT's. I pulled the BFG AT's off of my Pro and put them on my Tundra work truck and bought one size up P rated 265/75/16 Firestone ATs and have been happy with them. Mainly sees only fire road stuff so no issues with the P rated. Another very good tire is the Michelin LTX.

Michelin Defender. They are sooooo quiet, they last forever (80k miles isn't unheard of), and the wet/snow/ice traction is the best you can get, aside from a dedicated winter tire.

You pay more up front, but you get it back on the far end. My two cents.

They also handle off road duty just fine, as long as you're not rock crawling.

    Thanks for the replies, folks.

I’ve been leaning towards Michelin, need to price them out.
