We used to call this kid in my unit command specialist major because he thought he was right on everything.. from regulations to gov policies to sports. Everyone just said "roger that command specialist major" Other NCO's even did and it was hilarious.

 

Hah, I had a couple people call me Spec-9 or Command Specialist major cause I'd been in for 8 years and was the SME on our systems. Points never let up to promote so I ended up getting forced out, wasn't super fun knowing E-6s that had only been in a few weeks longer than you.

 

And I thought being promotable for 2 and half years was bad.. Though I picked up at like 636.

 

I was promotable for four years or so. Points jumped to 798 the month after I got my P. Came down once to the high 600s to pick up one guy and that's it.

 

It was def the worst watching scrubs promote cause their points were so low all they had to do was pass a PT test haha

 

I hate that shit. The whole points system is broken like that.

My DD214 protects me now.

Facebook brought back my post about terminal leave a couple days ago.

get that gi bill! ....i loved going to school and getting paid for it. I actually miss it.

 

My plan is to work until I'm debt-free then quit/leave and live off of the GI Bill so I can focus completely on school.

 

Make it out of reclaimed wood and you can sell it to a hipster environmentalist for a huge profit

i was promotable to E6 for a month when points dropped down to 738. i had 744

 

Was that back when deployments counted for points? Haha
