    That’s good you had the foresight to anticipate those circumstances. Did you also account for external factors such as potential litigation or customers who weren’t satisfied with the product and had unreasonable expectations?

    I never had any dealings with RPM fab down the street from me but like everyone else. I’m saddened to see a company fail and angry to see how many customers are screwed out of thousands and no product or mention of refund. Especially since their lead times were outside of some banks refund terms

    Local to me in AZ. They were seriously making moves in the Jeep scene with their production parts. All kinds of suspension goodies that I don’t understand because they are Jeep parts.

    That’s a relatively unlikely scenario when directly compared to not fulfilling orders.

    Bankruptcy doesn’t creep up on you overnight. Unless you’ve got your head in some serious sand, you see your margins slip, deadlines missed, and bills collect over time. It’s pretty simple trend analysis for any accountant (or someone with an accounting class under their belt, even).

    I’m all for the whole ‘wait and see’ thing, but taking orders and shuttering doors is an inexcusable business practice. They knew they weren’t going to fill those orders. Like @Daria stated earlier - now is the time to file your CC disputes if you haven’t already.

    That’s not what’s happening here. What happened is a person(s) looked people in the eye at an expo, took their money, knowing they were ultimately stealing it. What happened is they took my money 2.5 weeks ago, with a 4-6 week lead time, and then closed shop. What happened is on freaking Monday, they started a 10% off sale to entice others to order.

    That’s a lot different than having thousands in their account for hypothetical future litigations.

    There’s always blind supporters, same type who wished the Pelfreys the best and made excuses on their behalf long after it was appropriate.

    Don’t. Steal. Thousands. From. Customers.

    Exactly. Unless the entire business burned down with everyone inside and their accountant was simultaneously forced at gunpoint to withdraw all their cash by masked master international criminals....this is inexcusable.
