Morning Rob , I’m sure they will get it in sometime today but probably not this morning.

 

Curious to hear what's up.

 

Well I found the original small leak and made the mistake of trying to fix it . So if I cracked the nipple coming off the cooler I will need a new cooler . I was going to have all the lines replaced any way but now more $$$$$ $100 for the tow too.

 

Ouch!!!!!! They can't repair the nipple end of the cooler? Should be able to flare it. Maybe not?

 

Stopped at Redlyne Performance were my truck is around noon and they haven’t even got it inside yet . Mechanic said most likely I damaged the cooler by the amount of fluid loss . New Hayden High Performance trans cooler is around $50 that’s what I had Toyota install in 2014 . Going to do all braided stainless lines with the flared metal on the ends . No rubber ,no hose clamps . Bet ya $500 by time its done FML

$85 an hour labor is what most of the bill is !

 

Maybe more with the SS braided lines ,the cooler ,labor and the tow def $500 +

 

I'm in the wrong business................

@TaKoToy Are you running the SOS Concepts shackle flip kit with their adjustable shackle hangers?

 

Yes, it has three adjustment holes on the frame, 3 on the hanger and three lift selectors on the shackle.

 

Nice, thanks! I'm back in forth of going with a shackle flip or hammer hangers.

 

If it's still a DD then do hammer hangers. I think a flip may be better for rock crawling but the hammer hanger is going to give a lot more stability. I'm on the fence on switching to hammer hangers. If I still dont like it after I get the tent off then I'm going to switch. Dakars are apparently really short compared to other springs which messes with the geometry of my shackle flip. I have it maxed forward on the frame and maxed forward on the hanger. If I'm not mistaken hammer hangers were built around the Dakar sized springs. Do you have dakars? I was thinking you did. I guess my opinion is if you want a flip go ahead and convert to Chevy 63s. They are made to be on a flipped shackle. If you just want to max the flex of dakars and add rigidity to your frame then hammer hangers are the way to go. I liked my flip a lot more with my longer all pros but they couldn't handle the weight of my truck when fully loaded.
