    On the actual alcoholic beverage front, I acquired this yesterday:

    Really cool bottle of a relatively unknown, rare whiskey. Light whiskey is typically a "filler" whiskey used in blends. This light whiskey came from just 100 barrels that High West stumbled across. It is a corn mash and aged in second fill barrels. 14 year old stuff! The tasting notes sound awesome - vanilla and white chocolate. Looking forward to getting the whiskey club guys over to try it.

    I also got myself a backup of Teresa's Batch and stopped screwing around with the 750ml bottles of Evan Williams BiB. :laugh:

    The light whiskey is very interesting. I quite enjoyed it the one time I was able to try it, and it made for a great beginning of a tasting event.

    Good to hear! The concept reminds me a bit of Compass Box's Hedonism, which is a blend of grain whiskies (scotch 'filler') that are matured and bottled. Hedonism is really good, so I'm hoping High West pulled off a similar feat!

    My local shop carries the handles of EW BiB. Shouldn't be too hard to find.

    Now, that Light Whiskey, on the other hand... ;).

    Trades for about $200, but I helped a guy clear some space and got mine for $75 :D.
