I’m keeping factory seats so I wouldn’t know. I know you can disable the seatbelt chirp though for not having factory seatbelts clipped in. You would just have dash lights to ignore.

What’s your concern with the sensor? I have a feeling it would just give you a dash light. Shouldn’t effect anything else. I’m sure with the new HP Tuner available for our trucks as well you could probably disable the light if you really wanted, plus give it a better tune.

I was worried that it wouldn't deploy the airbag is I had a passenger in the shotgun seat.

Ah, you still have a harness bar. I was curious how you were gonna connect the straps.

I saw a civic that has 5 points and the shoulder straps connected THROUGH THE HEADREST STALKS

Man I need to check out this legendary taco....and maybe steal this idea? That said I assume without the framework of a roll cage then it would be hard to fasten the 5 point harness to the stock seats?

Yeah that’s a big no no.

As for not deploying any of the airbags if there is one unplugged, I doubt that is the case but some quick research should get you an answer.

    Here’s his build thread.

    https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/toyotally-awesome-08-tacoma.328604/

And you would need some sort of tube work done to create the rear harness bars.
    You mean I need bypasses?

Naw man you fly just fine without them! Yea I figured some sort of tube work would be needed....maybe I could have a bullshit cage set up where I only have the base pieces for the harnesses now and then in time tie in the whole cab cage to it?

I think I might know of a guy who would be a good reference for this.

Do you want the air bags to deploy or not? I don't want them to deploy since my ipad it mounted on the dash there. So I have the AB unplugged and the seat sensor unplugged. Yes, the AB dash light is on but it's not the only one that stays on.
