re read your initial issue and rather than me explain one possibility here is the link https://www.roadrunnerconverters.com/what-is-torque-converter-shudder/. Pay special attention to the diagnosis with the brake pedal applied idea.

the other thing that comes to mind and this is a long shot is that the rubber check balls in the valve body are shot.

The symptoms described for TC shudder is definitely not consistent with the “surging” that I’m experiencing. Mine isn’t doing a quick shake like running over a cattle guard. It’s surging. It can last up to 5 seconds.
Another good thing is the symptoms to fix it such as transmission rebuild and ATF flush or refill will all take place from the time I dropped it to when I reinstall it this weekend. Hopefully all goes well. Thanks!

I did a little more googling and changed some of the "search words"... one thing came back that I found interesting, the site mentioned if the TPS is slightly out of adjustment the trans will hunt at various times for the correct gear... maybe, just maybe when you lawn darted her the TPS was jarred.

Long time reader but i had to register. I have had sort of the same problem. Try getting a new battery you may have damaged yours in your landing. Took a truck to transmission man years ago i was sure trani was junk, not shifting correctly, doing lots of different things at different times. All i needed was a new battery, old battery would start truck but did not have enough juice to run computer the way it should run,

Even in the rear where the bump stops are? I remember a thread on here where a 2nd gen hit a rut at 35mph and buckled the rear of his frame where it made contact with his bump stops, he even had Superbumps on at the time.

His bed was loaded with a lot of weight though.

Years ago we trashed batteries with hole shots at the drag strip. Your landing was a lot harder than any of our hole shots

If it were changing gears you would have seen rpm go up or down more or less than cruise rpm.
This really sounded more throttle related than transmission.

Anytime i've had surging it's been intake related from the throttle body to an intake leak past the MAF sensor. Check TPS, and intake to the TB for leaks or anything partially or fully disconnected. not trying to give you random suggestions, just trying to help you catch the goose you're chasing.

Check electrical, like stated about the battery. Put a voltmeter on it and check the alternator too. Hold the rpms at about 2k or so see if it's putting out good voltage.

I appreciate it. I recently dealt with some emission issues. Replaced o2 sensors And switched back to box filter from Cai to smog. Still surging. Replaced tps last year for a cel

Definitely going to look into the battery thing after I get the transmission installed if the problem persists
