President McKinley w/KLM 203P and threw the roof antenna, ICON RXT leaf spring packs (position 2), Bilsteen 5100s, ARE Camper Shell, Pop & Lock tail gate, Dash Cam

agreed...mine, alao an 06 just started leaking the other day, it was a slow seap and i replaces it before i had any serious issue last weekend.

check to see if its driping on the driver aide seemingly from under the ac compressor, if so id bet a dollar that yoyr leak is the bypass line.

the entire repair inclusing manifold gasket can be done yourself in a couple hours and for less than a hundred bucks!

Headgaskets fail internally, causing burning of coolant and various times of the warm up.

Yeah no shit. People were saying we shouldn't jump to conclusions that it was the headgasket. I'm saying we jumped to that conclusion because a big cooling system leak should be fairly obvious, as in a big puddle of coolant in his driveway.

He also didn't specify the engine, being an 06, the 4.0 was prone to head gasket failure with the exact same symptoms he is describing.

A HG leak that big should be very apparent in the oil, if I were OP I would do an oil change and see what it looks like...post a pic on here for us.

That's true. But when you click his name and check a couple other posts, you'll see he has a base 2.7.

    Well, he did say

With engine completely cool remove the radiator cap and fill up to the neck with coolant. Start the engine and let it idle. Look inside radiator for 10 minutes or so and watch for gas/bubbles. If is does that you do have a head gasket failure which is pushing the coolant out of the system on the compression stroke. White smoke/steam out the exhaust indicates coolant being sucked in from a crack in the gasket on the intake stroke, converted to steam when fuel is burned, and then blown out with the exhaust.

I never said he had a 4.0,most likely he has a failed head gasket.
