    Nooo never

I dont notice a difference at all, i run 93 to keep my engine and fuel system cleaner. And yes ive seen the difference it makes first hand as i have torn down a few engines in my days.

Hell if you're getting an extra 3mpg with 93, that's about an extra 60 miles per tank.

I average about 350 miles per tank, before my gas light comes on and that's with 87.

I only get about 275 miles per tank in my '06 MT, but I do have a bad O2 sensor too.

I calculate my gas mileage pretty frequently for funsies. I drive about 80-90% interstate to and from work.

I typically see somewhere between 16.5 and 17 on 87 octane. My last tank came out to 19.9 on 93 octane.

I just about always drive with the cruise set dead on 70. There are a lot of dependent variables in my driving style.

If I drive in S and shift around 2.5-3K, I get better mileage. If I put it in D, I get less. I hate how my truck ends up in 6th gear at 38mph! lol

exactly? nope. I don't feel like doing hard math every tank lol.

I'm about 9% difference in miles driven vs miles that show up on my trip meter. I end up having to get gas at about 200 miles/trip meter every tank.

edit: that's me not letting my gas light come on.

I just posted this in the home improvement thread...what do you all think?

Ok question, for anyone who's used a contractor before.

The guys I'm using have gone way over schedule already. At the start of this month I said "be done by the end of the month May 31st or we negotiate taking money off" they said "ok". So now it's 1 week away and there is no way they finish next week, though they say they are confident they will....but they've said they were confident about a lot of things that didn't happen.

So they want a draw today to pay for the week but I told them I'm not giving them a check till we come to an agreement on how much discount I get when they go past May 31st. How would you handle this?

I told them what I thought was fair....to take the total contract agreement price (36,100) and divide it by the entire duration of work (started Feb 18th supposed to end May 31st, so 75 work days) so 36.1k divided by 75 is 480...so it's cost me $480 per day for them to work and NOT finish. I told them offer me savings of $400/day of them going over schedule AGAIN and I'm in agreement...they came back and said $50/day. It made me laugh out loud. If you're confident you'll finish next week whats the fear?

Any advice, or what you would do?

    Thanks

I was at 315 with between 1/8 and 1/4 left. Probably could have gotten close to 330-340

This is stuff discussed after initial discussions anyways, was there any mention on penalties from the get go?

I'd say you're somewhat at their mercy without taking it to court anyways. They said $50 a day, you said $480. I'd say shoot for $100 - $200 possibly.

    $400 would never hold up.

I hope you've kept a diary of this ordeal with a contractor. I want to read it lol
