Question for the K.C. folks, anyone know of a place that does fluid film applications? Tried googling but that didn’t help much.
    Thanks in advance

Hey guys! fairly new to KC area and just purchased my first Tacoma! I’m already eager to lift it with some 33’s. Any local shops you guys recommend? Thanks

I would say KMC Mechanical. Dude works on 4x4 vehicles.

I do all the stuff myself, but when I want to do gears or anything I don’t feel comfortable with, I’ll have Mike Starkbaum out at 4x4 Land work on it. He’s out in Topeka, which isn’t too bad, but comes to KC and surrounding areas to pick up and drop off rigs all the time. Stand up guy, excellent work. Wouldn’t trust anyone else. Mainly does Jeeps but knows his way around every 4x4. I did buy a set of tires from him though.

I did have Kris at KMC weld on my sliders on the regular cab. Also does good work, but I can only speak for his welding, as that’s all I’m familiar with.

However, if you’re just doing basic lift, get some guys together and do it yourself. Not too hard and rewarding.

Thanks for the info. Just doing a basic lift for now. I don’t really know anyone in the area and lack tools. But buying some basic essentials this weekend to start working on the truck on my own.

    Btw: RIP Tacos...

Using this group should definitely help you meet people in the area.

And sounds good! That’s the way to do it. Just realize the tool buying never ends. Haha

Most of the folks chatting have met up already.

We do need to plan a Taco meet soon, not a KCTC meet.
