Do they do that nowadays Josh to wear if your commanding officer gets injured or killed in the line of duty then you just take his place get promoted like on the spot

 

Similar experience, except my soldiers were terrified of me, because I had that I'm going to kill you, fuck you and make your head into an ashtray but not in that order look. I would also drop anything I'm doing to help them out, answer their questions, help then with any issues they have and teach them. Even on weekends.

Option #1 - Border Patrol
They're hiring 18 year olds with a GED minimum, if that's the case, then I'm going to apply.

Option #2 - UTRGV
I want a batchelors in something related to my social studies skills like Political Science, or History

Option #3 - Texas Highway Patrol
I really want to be a State Trooper, but this requires an education, so option #2 is a must

Option #4 - US Navy
Either after HS, or College

 

No, but there is a thing called succession of command. If your boss dies, you take his job if you have seniority until a replacement can be found

 

If the military is an option, do it young before you're too old or broken to do it. Lots of people regret not doing it while they're young.

 

They did that during world war II and the Vietnam war

R. Lee Ermy wasn't given any lined for that movie. He literally ad-libbed his entire role. He'd been a drill instructor for several years, no one could possibly write his lines.

I was a squad leader. We had a small storage room at the front of our barracks where we kept cleaning supplies and or nice drill cammi's. It's called the whiskey locker. I can't tell you how many times I was woken up in the middle of the night and told to report to the whiskey locker. Midnight, 1am, 2am, 3am, who knows the actual time? I'd go in the double doors, into the pitch black, pop to attention, salute the dark and report myself to the whiskey locker as ordered. I never really knew what happened in the. It was like a tornado. There's no real noise, but you get hit a lot and thrown around and eventually tossed out to the quarter deck onto your ass with instructions to wake another squad leader to report to the whiskey locker.

Good times...

 

There's a 34 age limit

 

The Marine Corps is (was) similar. If you're an NCO, you're a god among men. Should a non-nco address you as anything less, and not at the position of parade rest, they were lambs to the slaughter.

But, with proper etiquette, I was more than willing to train them.

 

So y'all would mess around at boot camp? I got lost with the whiskey locker, but you were supposed to go in there and get your ass kicked?

 

But don't they train you to be alert at all times of the day like an example my grandpa was stationed at Pearl harbor during world war II and he was ordered to go on patrol at 4:30 in the morning but little did he know that 3 hours later 2800 of his fellow crewmates all drowned in the ship that he was on and he was fortunate to be on patrol on the upper decks when all that happened I wish he was still alive cuz the way he told that story man it would just make anybody tear to their eye
