I agree with the truck feeling lighter statement. I wound venture to say my truck feels 500 pounds lighter with how it handles since the hptuner tunes. (I can remove 500 fairly quickly so thats what I use that basis.) Also I got 270 miles on a tank recently (usually closer 230 a tank). Something that hasn't happened in a really long time. I'll add it was doing to the same driving routes that I always do - backroads, little to no highway and tons of hills. On one particular hill my truck usually has to downshift to 4th to maintain 60+ mph. It hasn't had to do that as of late.

Yeah supercharged guys are going to see MUCH more mpg gains than us NA'd guys just with how insanely pig rich the stock TRD tune is.

Thank you for sharing your testing. I have punched in most of your values (lower 2 to 3 shift) into my tune and will load it up to check it out when I can. This is soooo cool to be able to share our efforts! It's like Linux for Tacoma's!

I used a diode that looks like this http://www.sidewinder.com.au/page159aa.html
I cant find where I ordered it from and it doesnt have the part # on it. Grrr. It was only a few bucks.
The best way to install it would be to use an inline add-a-fuse connected in series to the alt-s circuit and install the diode in the add-a-fuse. That way voltage gets boosted but the circuit is still protected with the OEM fuse.

Off topic, but does the 2015 show the TPS for every tire on the screen? I'm jealous if that's true.

That looks exactly like the 1 amp I posted, probably the same. I took a file to the plastic on the one side, slipped right in

I had seen @hx989 posted successful results charging an AGM with a diode so I pm'd him about how it works, he pointed me in the right direction but I didn't look back far enough in the thread to see he had already gave the part number :anonymous: I spent next few weeks trying to find what he had already found

    BACK TO TUNING.

See attached for my current auto shift point helper excel doc.

Note: I work off of difference values as its easier to see how much has changed (using a compare file - stock cal - in HPTuner software). Difference values noted in the excel doc are my latest changes that are currently on my truck. Only thing not shown in the excel doc is the TCC apply and release graphs (ill add these over the weekend or next week if i get a chance)

Paired with the changes to shift points in the excel doc, i have also changed:
    • 5TH TCC Apply = +125 @ 0 to 18 and +75 @24
    • 5TH TCC Release = -300 0 to 42

    Notes on the doc:
    • Upshift and Downshift graphs have "ghost lines" of the stock data points
    • 3rd graph is MODDED shift points only ("ghost lines" proved WAY to many things going on)
    • Changes ABOVE a difference value of zero will result in that cell getting highlighted in RED
    • Changes BELOW a difference value of zero will result in that cell getting highlighted in YELLOW
    • 2nd sheet provides all the raw stock data and interpolated data that lots of the values and graphs are made from
    • Stock shift points for NA and TRD cal are the same from what i have seen.
Any questions, explanations, or additions feel free to hit me up!

Man that looks sweet. I am hoping to do the same although with the gt momentum intake the large oval opening makes it challenging to find the correct fitting reducer. I did something similar to the front port of the airbox.20190503_195017.jpg

Looks good. Why the MAF extension wire though? Does the tundra MAF have a different female plug than tacoma?
