    I've been slowly getting rid of the entire top shelf of parts in my garage thats all stock parts lol. Pretty much just need to keep the stock intake and Y pipe for when its smog time lol. Everything else I'm keeping for no apparent reason.

    Had myself a pretty shitty run tonight. Had the family in the truck and was headed to take the kids swimming. Jumped on the interstate and the truck had a massive falling on it's face moment. Thought it was the trans with a really weird shift flare or something. So we are just humming along and I want to feel some boost so I tip into the throttle. At 2lbs the truck falls on it's face again and the check engine light flashes. It kinda feels like the Rev limiter but at like 3k rpm. Wonder wtf. Get to the hotel. Kids swim I hang and ponder shit. Go to leave and jump on the interstate again and it does it again. This time I get a check engine light that stays on. P2238. Wtf! Going to data log tomorrow. But it is extremely odd. And when it falls on it's face it completely shuts down any power at all. Hope it isn't anything serious!

    This is your guardian kicking in. It goes womp womp womp and cuts power because there's something UCon doesn't like. What did your AFRs look like when this was happening? I battled this for a long time.. could be a number of things. I believe the CEL flashes when guardian kicks in. Mine does this as well. CEL light is also used for a shift indicator and it indicates what stage tune you have when you first turn the truck on based on how many times it blinks

    Basically guardian cuts power and it does what you felt similar to a rev limiter if you're below 3k when guardian kicks on. If you are over 3k rpms when it kicks on, it is a total loss of power (no rev limiter feeling, just falls completely flat)

    I think this code is relating to the bank 1 AFR sensor. I had a similar code when putting some bosch AFR sensors in mine. swapped back my OEM ones and codes went away. Could be time for a replacement though if those are the originals on your 06

    Some data logging should shed some light as to what's going on. If you can replicate the issue and get the guardian to kick on during a data log, that's going to be the best way to track this down

    I’m just glad the car is back up and running. This car should be fun. And most importantly comfortable.


    My previous post about it being slow was because I setup the boost actuator wrong.

    Sounds like what mine did a couple months back when I went to eastern Washington. If it's like mine I believe its tune related and the truck is protecting its self. I hope it's an easy fix like mine.

    It was doing it above and below the 3k mark. But yeah the light flashed so I know guardian kicked in for sure. Yeah a rev limiter sound for sure. As for my AFR, stupid sensor is out again. Which makes me wonder just what the hell is going on to keep destroying sensors. But when I data logged for Mike? A while back he said everything looked great so I haven't been as concerned about a new sensor. Bosch and Denso both give me about 2 months. But I am going to see if I can get an old sensor to possibly work while I data log.

    I have replaced my factory sensors twice since owning the truck. I only have 123k miles on it. Last change out was about 20k miles ago. Will go data log today.

    What did yours end up being? Going to take the intake apart today and see if soaked my Donaldson air filter or something. We have had a ton of rain and my inner fenderliners are not really there. Snorkel is not sealed either.
