The qualifier is if you have the traction control with electric/hydraulic boosted brakes. If you just have ABS and a vacuum booster it is the normal process. If they allowed all the fluid to drain out of the lines between brake line install they will likely need to bench bleed the master cylinder.

@Littles I was hoping to avoid this but it was in the back of my mind in a secret hiding place I don’t talk about at party’s. Yours was empty.....

Well the ones I was thinking of aren’t the factory ones. I know have them somewhere because people always ask me why I still have them. To which I always respond, some day someone will need them.

I’ll keep looking. Let me know if you find some somewhere else.

I was afraid of that too. If I understand correctly, gravity bleeding has likely taken care of any air between the master and the rear drums, but as soon as I apply pressure to the pedal, I'm inserting air into the system since here's air in the cycle of the master. Correct? I'm guessing this means I get to bleed the front lines now as well....

Trying to figure out if I can bench bleed the master on the truck or not. I'm thinking if I remove the feed lines and plug it I can just cycle the pedal till it stops bubbling without removing it from the truck.

You can. Just need the fittings and the hoses to route the fluid back into the master cylinder reservoir.

I have a set in Longmont that I’d be willing to sell you.

Are you wrenching up in Gold Hill or down in Boulder? Either way, these are probably the closest ones to you. Let me know.
