Tacoma is stock and staying that way, Pickup is TBA as of now.
I'm a Bronco fan (own a first gen 72 and a sencond gen 78) but those things are not worth that! A fully restored first generation early Bronco maybe, but that's a big if as well. The full size Broncs never commanded the collectible value of the first gen Broncos.

BTW that is not a Tacoma. That is the predecessor to the Tacoma simply called the Toyota Pickup. The Tacoma started halfway through 1995, which was the last year you could buy a Toyota Pickup. They’re different trucks entirely that don’t share many characteristics with the Tacoma.

for that kind of money you can buy a 10 year old full size domestic or even a tundra.

Not everyone (me :) ) wants a big truck.

This 89 went for $10,000 at a little used car dealer down the road from me recently:

After I saw this thread, I looked on eBay at "sold" listings and saw another truck similar
to the one in this thread that sold for 9+ ...

    12+ is a lot...

Sounds like a very fair price. Not. This truck is in that category that to be able to own it you have to pay dumb money for it. No problem doing that, just be realistic with yourself about it.

Too many trucks and mods to list.. check builds
3.0 is junk. Unless you rebuild it with mls headgaskets. But even then it’s underpowered. Good news is the 5vz is a bolt in swap

Nice looking but not really a great truck IMO.

The Tacoma sorted a lot of the ills about that gen.

    YMMV.

Ah yes, V6 regular cabs. Sucks the Tacoma only had them for a couple years, I think the RC would have sold better if they kept the V6 option and they may have kept them in production!

If you buy it you can put antique plates on it . Bad decision save your money and get a late model .

    Maybe he meant tires? :dunno:
Have VIN checked for Head Gasket as I mentioned in other thread. My 95 SR5 went 250k with no head gasket issues or really no issues at all. It was a 5 speed.
The SR5's were the top tier for made in Japan Toyota trucks. I got the model year right before the Tacoma introduction.
As far as price, many collectors look for them thus NADA & KBB guides don't seem to matter since supply in excellent condition is limited. Look at sold listings on eBay.
In what manner are you using the truck? Daily driver? There are much better deals as the guys have said.

It tells me his wife told him to get rid of it. But it's the weirdest thing, no one wants to buy it. Guess he has to keep it...

Same with the '93 in the OP. Only way I can think someone would be asking that much for it.

before my current Taco i owned a 1990 with the 22re. I loved it and they are great little trucks but realistically i wouldn't pay more than around $7k for what you have pictured, and even that is only because of the great condition. For $10 - 12k you could buy a VERY nice 1st gen Tacoma and you absolutely should. Tacoma's are better and easier to live with in pretty much every appreciable way. Also like people have said, the 3.0 in that thing is a time bomb (head gaskets).

They are cool though. here's my old '90 :D

Just look at the build thread
It is worth about $7k here in Texas to someone that doesn't know better. Maybe $8k at most. But it has the 3.blow engine in it so to most people its worth whatever a body and frame are worth. Best thing to do to that truck is to swap the motor. If it was a 22RE, I could see getting $8k easily with how clean it is.
