For a regular cab? Holy Shit.

I mean maybe that's a good price but I got my 07 TRD AC in 08 for 23 OTD.

yea...that's what I said but it's a 4x4 automatic, which brought up the price a bit.

I got my truck in 05 about 6 months after the Tacoma came out fully loaded (had to special order it even) for 27,500 OTD. DC short bed TRD offroad 4x4.

    Why's that?

The reason why I want one is to commute in.
Bucket seats, means only two people while in carpool lane...
4cyl means I save on gas...
4x4, I can access my private fishing holes or look for new ones and go offroad when ever I want =)...

I gotta child on the way and a new house to pay for and I need a truck so, it's a compromise.

    cheers,
    j

Just for reference the invoice price (minus floor mats) on USAA is $21,653. Looks like you have some wiggle room since they are trying to charge you MSRP.

    INVOICE [IMG]
    $21,653
    MSRP [IMG]
    $22,315
    USAA PRICE
    $20,651

You may consider a clean used DC or AC V6 for similar #'s as a brand new 2011 Reg cab 4 banger.

I would...but I want the regular cab for carpooling reasons and I'd like the 4 cyl to save on gas. Best of both worlds if you ask me...a commuter truck

Oh man... it sounds so tempting!

I'm thinkin' I can talk them down to around 19.5k for what I want...

or maybe I can get what I REALLY want and just commute in the wifes car. I just gotta talk the warden into it.

Seems crazy to get a regular cab when you have a child on the way. It means you will NEVER be able to take the wife and kid anywhere you want to bring the truck (at least safely). If you even get an AC (do they have child seat tie-downs?) you have the OPTION to bring the family along.. if you plan on keeping this truck for a long time (which I think is the reason most of us buy a Tacoma?) You may want to think long term instead of short..
