    I was gonna do the same, but sometimes I need my key. I like to leave it running and locked when I'm running around. Sigh. Guess I could just leave a key in the truck somewhere.

    I carry a military style shoulder pack in my truck with mini flashlight, pepper spray, plyers etc. I keep my bed key in that.

    Do the power tailgate mod and you won’t need the key anymore. I did it in preparation for this minimalist fob, and it makes life easier too!

    This is an excellent point. I’m hoping to install my pop n lock kit from @KTJO 4x4 this Thursday so I won’t need my key anymore!

    I leave the truck running. Put the window down, get out, reach in and manually lock it through the window, then one touch close the window. It's to get back into the truck if I run into the gas station or have my dog with me. Just for 5-10 minutes max with A/C and music for him. I'll just take the key or stick it somewhere on the outside. I have a set of these, can just stick it on somewhere.
