yeah, i'm going to email down south and see what they might be able to do.

that would be awesome if you could check with your shop. i have no problem with shipping as i'd have to pay it anywhere else too.

my gues is that when you go to a 2.5 w/ a reservoir, it's assumed that you wheel enough to not care about ride quality on road, in which case you'll get it custome valved to fit your truck (maybe you have a heave off road pumper) and the terrain you most commonly wheel on (fast with whoops or slower with rocks)

but again, that's just a gues. i really don't have any experience to back that up and probably shouldn't have said anything:eek:

just fronts right now. rears will happen eventually along with a new leaf pack, but the aal and 5100s will do for the time being until i save up some more "fun money" for that.

alright guys, I came to a realization that king 2.5 w/ RR would be way overkill. i like overkill, but that's more than i'll be able to make use of. i'm thinking that the fox 2.0s witht eh adjustable reservoir would be sufficient. I was also looking intot he 2.5 racerunner/swayaway/camburg coilovers w/o reservoirs. people seem to be pleased with them, but i read a few posts that said they have rusting problems. out in AZ or somewhere dry that's not an issue, but I'm 4 miles from the ocean in florida where rust is a big problem. anyone have any experience with this?

ive got the fox 2.0's and they are fine for what i use them for. the dampening is decent to have. I keep it at a 4 for on road and a 2 for offroad. I have never put it on 6,7,or 8 before...i would only imagine it rides very rough

Does changing the setting actually make a noticable difference? Less sway? Feel the road more?

Unless you're in a hurry... I definitely save up and get what will make you the happiest. Do it right the first time around. Take consideration into what you'll be doing with your truck. Don't want to do too little and don't want to overdo it and spend more than you absolutely have too. Plus, being patient you can probably find a good deal on a used set from a fellow TW member.

In fact I think Zack is selling some Fox 2.5 co's w/reservoirs.

Unless I were going to go with the kings, money isn't really that big of a deal. but i've kindof ruled out kings anyway since i more than likely won't be able to use them to their full potential. i'm really trying to decide if i'll benefit more from a larger shock like what zack is selling (i'm actually posted that i have some interest in his thread) or the swayaway/racerunner/camburg 2.5 non resi.....or will i benefit more from having the adjustability you get with the 2,0 foxs. all three sets of shocks i just mentioned are $1000 +/- about $100, so at this point i'm not really basing my decision on the $$$

the racerunner/etc shocks are really the only ones i'm still trying to find infor on (potential rust issue), and after that i just have to figure out which one will serve me best and which one may be over/underkill.

My buddy has a long travel setup with Sway-A-Way/Race runner shocks/CO's on his F150 and it's an amazingly smooth ride! I'm definitely impressed with how his prerunner desert truck handles and looks! Something about the anodized red that looks sweet! :D

I can't wait until my truck is paid off to definitely start doing some serious suspension/long travel mods!

haha, the red does look pretty sweet. i'm assuming he's in AZ as well??? good to hear they ride well.

i'm probably making too big of a deal about the whole rust thing as noone could confirm it. i just saw a post or two about them having a "rust reputation". it's humid and salty as hell on the water here in florida, so i'm jsut a bit paranoid.
