I made this last night for Dinner while waiting for the wife to come home from work. We live very comfortably now, but it wasn't always that way. I remember going to the grocery store many a time with $15-$20 to spend for the week. We'd buy Ramen noodles, lite bread, bologna the usual inexpensive stuff we could stretch out as far as we could. Our 1 treat we would buy almost ever week was a box of Chef Boyardee homemade cheese pizza.
To this day we still love this stuff. I guess comfort food is comfort food, good times or bad.

Hell ya man. I to this day make my families version of Sheppard’s pie. Ground beef, tomato soup, green beans, onion and topped with mashed potatoes. It was what my grandfather ate a lot when he was young. Super cheap and stretches the meals you get. I still love it and now my wife does also.

That does sound good. I was sippin a little Eagle Rare will cooking but switched to Beer at eating time.
I bet a little Eagle Rare. Elijah Craig or Four Roses Single barrel might go quite well with that Shepard's Pie.
