So there's a thumping noise coming from my ac blower box as soon as I start the truck. It doesn't have ac and the blower is turned off, temp all the way in cool, and top vents are open. Even after I turn the blower on, it continues to thump for a minute. Also when everything is off, there is a buzzing noise like the vent actuator is constantly shifting, until I turn the temp all the way to heat. Any ideas on what the sounds are coming from?

Should just need to pull the glove box and open the cabin air filter door. Pull the filter and go from there. I believe it's just a few screws to remove the blower. Check the wire harness for damage

We don't have a cabin filter, but yes just pull the glovebox and the blower is fairly easy to remove

there are 2 coolant hoses that go to the heater core, temporarily see if you can squeeze one shut and see if the nosie goes away. I am thinking that the thump is coolant trying to fill the voids in the heater core as it is the highest point in the cooling system.

Sorry guys, I worded the issue wrong. Its a buzzing noise coming from above the blower (took it out, issue continued), right behind the glove box. I havent had time to go into depth with it yet, but my heat quit this morning. Is there a motorized damper inside the duct for heat and cool? There's obviously one for recirculated air and fresh air but im not sure about the hot and cold. Any ideas?
