If I remember correctly the 275/70 only came in an E rating so I went with the 265/70 in the KO2 to keep a C rating

50-60 k worth of tread life in them. They grab the street very well, even in snow (notice how my front bumper is still in good shape) plus wheels and a full size spare. Good money saver.

They sit tight against the cab (5° rake up) and have the 45° angles on the front and rear of the main square tube.

I need some sliders bad as well, SOS has some bolt ons for a single cab but I’m kicking myself for not buying some a couple years ago. They were sitting in my cart for $298 with no options during a sale, now they’re about $200 more.

    Story time:

Where I live there are pretty much two trails to run for non big tire trucks. Could pretty much drive them in my sleep from going down them for 15+ years. Unfortunately someone has gone against the unwritten rule to stay off of them with big tires and just destroyed one of them. So of course I had no choice but to run the only one left.

I learned quite a bit about this turd gen today on trails. The most important lesson being to use 4 low !!! Holy cow these trucks DO NOT like any moderate incline in 4H. Also the shuttering/clanking noises that the gearbox produces are quite disturbing hahah

1st Gen had no problems tackling this same trail in 4H.

FYI I'm not complaining at all. Just have to adjust to using 4L a lot more frequently to get the power needed.

Allot of time I also have to remind people with auto transmissions to downshift as well. 4lo with 2nd gear gets allot of work done without all the flailing about.

Sucks to hear that a deuchebag screwed something up for everyone else.

I thought it was standard practice (esp with a manual) to use 4lo unless you're prerunning or subaruing in the snow
