I have a Note 9, and it won't line up correctly for wireless charging because of its size. FYI in the case anyone was going with a larger phone.

Is the note 9 that much bigger than the 8? My Note 8 in an Otterbox fits great.

Qi on truck is not good. Galaxy s10 here heats up alot and gets about 10% in half an hour. On Samsung wireless pad I use at home, 30 mins gets me about 60% doesn't get very hot either. You arent missing much.

Using this one. Vent clip is not totally my first choice but mounting options were limited.

It works well, charges fast and charges over the use of Google maps and music being ran at the time.

Oh I also have an otterbox case and it charges through it.

Pro grill, TRD intake, Flowmaster dual exhaust, some LED updates
    Google Pixel 3XL w/case.

Charges begrudgingly, I have to move it around on the charging pad to find The Sweet Spot, after which it will slowly charge.

    Hmm-almost sounds naughty.

I don't have a wireless charging pad, and don't miss it. I've got a cable plugged into one of my center armrest USB plugs, with about 6 inches of exposed cable to reach the little cup holder just in front of it. Works great, not in the way, and charges fast.

FWIW, my wife has a wireless charging pad in her Camry, and has never used it.

Wireless charging is a solution to a problem that doesn't exist. :anonymous:

Agreed. But some people love it. Sells like hot cakes on boats. Check out the Rok active. Phone charge and dash mount holder in one.

Haha it's a convenience thing, I have wireless charger on my nightstand as well, just nice to not have to fiddle with a cable. It works well, you should try it out in your Camry. :boink:

Not to mention the phones whose port becomes defective after plugging and unplugging over time.

On a serious note, my S8 gets REALLY hot when trying to use the truck wireless charger. Charges fine and cool on my samsung pad at home.

Have the same phone, it gets hot every once in a great while, not enough for me to be concerned though.

Check to make sure the power port isn’t full of lint... most folks who stick their phones in a pants pocket accumulate lint in the port. I usually fold over packaging tape so it will fit into the slot, and push in & pull out a few times to remove the lint. Magically the power port works fine after that.

Not much...I think the screen on the Note 9 is 6.4 vs 6.3 on the Note 8. I wonder if the magnetic coil is located differently in each phone. I couldn't get it positioned correctly to get it to charge. Or, maybe it was just me having difficulties. I had no problem with my galaxy s phones.

I have it in my truck and I think it's dumb. I just use that slot to put things in. Using a cable works way better for me
