Ultra black RTV works awesome and adds some secondary adhesion as well

Used some black RTV. Picked it up at Lowe’s.

Question - I watched the install video...so, could the roof channel mounts not be bolted in first and then assemble the rack around them?

Seems easier to do it that way versus having two people fumble around with a fully assembled rack and trying to get the holes lined up perfectly.

Make sense what I’m trying to say?

Sure you could so that. Just lay some tape on the roof in case any of the pieces accidentally fall. Also you'll have less wiggle room to get all the bolts installed, so it would be best to make sure you get the complete rack install before the rtv cures in case you have to reposition the mounts at all.

Thanks for the writeup! Couple of quick questions: Does it come with the brackets to install the light bar? And is the weather stripping on the bottom of the front piece included? I've heard that for the Prinsu rack that weather stripping is essential for noise reduction.

Yes, the light bar brackets come with the rack. And yes, the weather stripping came with it as well. That was a nice surprise because I was expecting to have to pick some up after the install.

I'm hoping the Access Cab version will release before code expires. :)

Thanks for the great deal! I haven’t bought my Tacoma yet (waiting for 2020 models to drop) but couldn’t pass up on this deal. I like the steel foot design and the overall aesthetics are great. I actually have the JCR front bumper and rear bumper with tire carrier on my XJ and couldn’t be happier with those products. Thanks again!
