Call the vendor suggested by @Armed in Utah. I was just on their site and there’s lots of relevant information for what you want to do. They also sell everything you are considering buying. I’m pretty sure they can get you dialed in.

Okay I sent them an email asking them for advice.

Still looking for a straight answer of which coilovers to get to support the weight

ex: You will need “xx shocks” with “xx coils” in order to support the weight of the ARB bumper without winch

Going this route, I’m assuming you buy the coils separate from the shock and assemble after?

Do you know if there’s any options for a fully assembled coilover?

99% sure they offer assembled ones. Would recommend just paying a little more for them to do it.

Edit: Headstrong will get you taken care of. They will probably reply tomorrow as it’s a holiday.

You do understand that I just posted that info from the Headstrong website as stated in my post. I have no way of knowing if it’s accurate or what you need. Contact them with your questions. I don’t have a lift or aftermarket bumper.

    Would this work best?:

    Measure ride height
    Install bumper
    Measure difference dropped

Then buy a coilover that will raise the truck that amount?

Yes. That would be best if you want to keep the height the same as it is now. Honestly, it'll drop only a little bit. I'd bet a thin spacer will put it back to 'stock' height.

Bump, In the same boat now. I've read where the stock 3rd gen tacomas coil is rated at 700-710 lbs. I would want to try that.

I ended up just biting the bullet and purchased a 3” lift kit by Toytec. The bumper did sag the suspension slightly (not that bad), but after installing the lift I can tell it is supported properly now and handles much better than with the bumper alone
