Husky Liner Problem

Take a little sand paper to the sharp edge of the heel. Sand a small chamfer or bevel.

 

Call me crazy but I believe their product should be compatible with a wide range of shoes. Maybe they should evaluate the materials they’re using and switch to something more durable.

 

Agreed. Husky is an excellent company too and should just ship a new one. They’ll prob get the OP to send a pic with the bad floor liner cut in half (or something similar) so it can’t be used for multiple warranty claims.

 

I hope so. I’ll gladly do this if it keeps me from having to ship it back.

No holes, no leaks, none of the issues you state. Guess I got ones made mid week.

 

Think I'd swap out my shoes when you get in your truck. My feet hurt just looking at those.

 

NO --just send them in (after you call them of course and get a RMA) and get new ones (bet they will) and leave your shoes alone -besides -they look like high quality shoes!
Why in the hell would one have to "sand your shoes down" to compensate for defective rubber in your mats????? That is the stupidest response I have ever heard of. Sorry poster -- my opinion.
Truth is the shoes were tougher than the mats -period - Huskies -lost that battle. LIFETIME GUARANTEE PERIOD.
PS I have the Huskies and I think they are the best!!

 

Usually dress shoes have harder soles than "work" boots. Huskey should work for a wide range of shoes, (like you said) but I'd still sand the sharp edges off, because it's worth the hassle IMO. I'm sure they'll take care of you either way.

 

I can't stand Weathertech's.

Husky will just send you a replacement. Great CS. I'm livid they don't make MT liners

 

You went with weathertech cause homeboys dress shoes wore through? That's oddly specific.

 

This just happened to mine, same tear in same location. Emailed them, got RMA, sent them back (paid for shipping back to KS) and they sent me a new pair.
My previous WeatherTech's did the same thing. I still like the material of the Husky's better... more rubber content that plastic with WT's.

 

It’s not a husky defect/problem.

Some people feel the need to apply pressure to their heels/feet when driving. I’ve seen people rub a 3” hole directly through a floormat, carpet and insulation and start to wear the metal of the floor on. Some people have some type of anxiety or some issue. I don’t under stand it. Seen it plenty of times over the years working in the auto industry.

Went with WT due to reviews on lasting quality. Husky may be good, for me it comes down to talking with folks in construction or dirty jobs where lots of dirt and debris are constantly underfoot.

Majority of the folks I talked to had the liners 5 or more years with signs of wear but no holes...... the rear liner is a bit of a pain to remove for cleaning but no one sits back there much anyhow.

Mine have been in for 3 years, no issues.

 

I had literally the same exact issue with my dress shoes. I called up Husky, they gave me an RMA and sent me a new set, I did have to send the bad ones back and pay for the shipping on the bad ones.
I am still happy with them and the CS. I have WT in my wife's car and still prefer the Husky.

 

I shipped the bad ones back this morning - $20 UPS. Husky wanted both of them back and said they would send me a new set once they receive the old ones. CS was good - they only wanted to know when I bought them, the part number, and my address. I should have the new set next week. Good customer service.

 

Yep, had mine in for 4 years now and they still look and perform like new. A quick spray off at the car wash and they're good to go. I only have 40k on my truck but if I have them long enough I'm sure they'd wear through as well since they're made of plastic like the Huskys.

 

I feel like construction boots are easier on the rubber and don't have sharp corners. They have to have better gription than dress shoes. At the end of the day they're probably the same shit.

 

Their Weatherbeater mats fit MT Tacomas, my dad has a set for his truck. My truck came with the Tacoma branded WeatherTechs but I'm going to replace them in another year with Huskys.

 

The Weatherbeaters are like a knock off Weathertech. X Act Contours are where its at.
