And I found my problem. The AF sensor extension is loosing connection. The plastic shielding is melted and I juggled the wires and all is good now. When I hooked up the laptop to data log I noticed that the AT sensor that popped the code wasn't reading at all.

 

Well, because I wanted my truck to run I kindly asked our resident guru for help. Hp tuners are sweet! @JustDSM

 

I had the p0136 code. Hp tuners magically fixed it...

 

I'd really like to see some dyno comparisons. I have had zero issues with the UCON but am still curious about what is possibible. I wish @Gadget of Scott would enter the discussion.

 

Replacing my rear 02 sensor got rid of that code for me. If it keeps coming back then I wonder if it's something up with the wiring to the sensor, are you using Denso sensors or something different?

 

I dont think a dyno would show much. The benefit to hptuners is being able to take it somewhere or do it yourself outside of a single person.

 

I believe the stock ones on my Lexus are denso. Not too sure honestly. They were functioning last year when I was driving my car. Finally finished all my mods and drove maybe 40 miles since.

Issue with my high flow cats would be P0420 right? Not getting that code yet.

 

Most likely yes. P0136 indicates an issue with the sensor specifically so it's either a bad sensor or bad wiring to the sensor, or something up with the ecu but that's far less likely

If they're anything other than Denso then that could be the issue, Toyotas only work well with Denso sensors

 

I guess I’ll just order the sensor then. I get anxiety when I see CEL’s.

Right now alongside the P0136 I’m having half a dozen EVAP codes being thrown too.

 

For those of you using meth. Are you happy with it? Any concerns about methanol’s corrosive effects? I’m contemplating on getting this upgrade.

 

I just got done enjoying the benifits this morning. If you want to commit to a system I reccomend spending the extra money on braided lines. I just upgraded this weekend. No ill effects after using for a year.

 

I know of a few 1st gen guys on here using methanol and they love it...I'm considering ditching my 7th injector for a meth setup. Seems so much easier than dealing with the antiquated 7th injector and trying to tune the thing with ~15 year old software.

Increased octane and considerably cooler intake all in one, what's not to like

Has anyone played with the URD A/F sensor extensions. As in taken them apart and lengthened them or anything like that? I know I have a bad connection as I am having the bank 1 sensor 1 not reading and then jiggle the wires of the extension and then it does read. The wire loom that is on them is also melted so I know they have some heat. Was just going to order a new set and some real heat protection sleeves but looked at the price of them. LOL I think I will just try to rebuild the ones I have. Or, just move the A/F sensors up to the center tube where you don't use the extensions. But I like the idea of getting the signal after the merge of all three cylinders so I get a bank reading instead of a center cylinder reading. What are your opinions? Where are your factory A/F sensors located on your headers?

 

You can extend the o2 plugs themselves. No need for an extension harness
