What Have You Done To Your 2nd Gen Tacoma Today?

in preparation for my @SOS CONCEPTS HC bumper that will already be trimmed 2” to fit bigger tires, (Thanks Eddy!) I pulled my over fenders & will be trimming back the body fenders about 2.5” soon. Will do the fronts another night. LOOK AT ALL THE WEIGHT REDUCTION AND EXTRA HARDWARE I HAVE NOW! Don’t you just love the look of a straight body Toyota without flares and with aggressive stance? I do.

I thought the factory spec was a miss-print, it should be 73 ft/lbs. When I got my dakars I torqued them to 89 ft/lbs.

 

It is a misprint. Torque is actually 73. It's strange that all the info I have, even the frame recall technical instructions, has it at 37.

Busy weekend... Installed a rear locker into my 2013 base regular cab. Amazing how far locking just the rear gets ya. Also, installed Sumosprings. Gonna be moving to Florida and needed to manage rear sag a bit having a fully loaded bed and a enclosed trailer. Aside from that, changed the sparkplugs, cleared the fuel tables, adjusted the brakes, and adjust the front driver side spring. Looking good and ready to go.

We leave on the 19th of next month. Did measurements and confirmed that I can fit 18 48l fliptop totes in the bed with my shell on and drawer system in.

Dude same here. I thought long and hard about changing the cap for a steel but the oem plastic one works okay and looks good too.

 

I have 2tabs broken from reinstalling. Sold mine to a member on here. Both skin & cap were mobtown.

I noticed one day that several of the clips on the pass rear were broken, so I removed mine. Eventually I'll get the clips, but that is low on the list. I am gonna vinyl wrap them before I put them back on. It does look better without them.
