Got to take both boats out on the river today and saw a bald eagle flying up the river as I was floating down fishing. I'm sure he had better luck than I did, I didn't even get a bite! But the weather was almost perfect so no complaints.

 

Good morning everyone, man that weekend went fast, they usually do. Decent weather, just had to dodge showers between projects. Well here we go again, have a good one kids.

The local eagle was just sitting then snatched a small fish about 20 yards from the wife and I.
He was a long way from the fish and saw it..

Just not enough time to have fun.

Boat ran well yesterday.
Trailer towed well after my alignment on it this spring.
Water 64°.
Very dirty which is kinda normal after they drain it and refill.
But it was worse then usual.
Lots of floating debris that stuck to the boat like glue.
Pickerel were everywhere.
They Ruined 3 lures.
Lost 3 feet of line on my rods because of nicks and having to retie.
Never had this happen at the same time.

So back to Cabella’s to replace ruined lures.
Had to pressure wash the boat.

Lots of extra work for the first time out.
Do it all again in a heartbeat lol.

Going to be a sucky day.
Work calls.

Been raining on and off since yesterday afternoon. My dad used to say, " If it didn't rain it would be a long dry spell,"
Electriction coming over this morning for estimate for service upgrade". Had one here last year, he never mailed me a estimate. Called another one 4 weeks ago and left a message, never got a call back.

 

I’ve noticed that if they’re swamped they won’t call back
