That would be for the second fob. So you have 3 choices per fob.

Not sure if I miscalculated or not because for 1 fob you can only have 3 combinations, but I multiplied those combinations by 2 for 2 fobs.

Yeah I made a post about this... The anodizing wasn't really holding up to my abuse test and I didn't want it looking like poop in a few months. So I went with a tumbled/raw finish. It should hide wear MUCH better long term.

Interesting. You should tear apart your other fob and feel the playability of the rubber and even swap it. See if it firms it up. Just to see if that's what it is.

It has nothing to do with the rubber. With the unit back apart and only holding the front half in my hand there is obviously more play from the unlock button than the others. I can get no play from the others at all and the unlock and I can move around easily.

Yea, it looks really nice too...

But seriously, a black bar definitely blends better and IMO looks better over all, but I can tell that it's already wearing a bit and it's only been a few weeks.

Maybe I'll spray mine. Or maybe the contrast will look good w the black fob.

Would be pretty cool to use a bed spray on it, even though its a tiny part. But I think a layer of that may widen the bottom of the fob and make it unable to close properly, unless you sand the plastic a bit.

Mine is the same way. First thing I noticed when I got all together. I could hear a rattle.

My lock button was a little loose. Pulled it back apart and noticed that when it went into place it almost needed to be snapped in, the other two buttons just sat into place. Put everything back together and it is all nice and snug. Just my two cents worth...

Great product. My wife (who will never admit to liking the truck) was jealous she didn't get one.

No rattle on mine -- have you taken it apart and re-assembled?

Ahhh I was only considering building one fob for some reason. 2 fobs it gets more complicated.

I'm still not sure it's 3*2 though. Because if you set your first fob, then the second one is fixed, assuming I only have 1 white back, 1 white front, 1 black back, 1 black front.
Like think of it this way.

I'm making the first fob: I choose white/black. Then your second fob has to be black/white.

I'm making the first fob: I choose black/white. Then your second fob has to be white/black.

^ these lead to the same result - one fob is white/black and the other is black/white ("order doesn't matter")

So in some sense you really only have two options for the casing alone - black/black+white/white, or white to black (mixed).

Ok I think I'm done now...
