Haha, thanks. It takes awhile, but it's very satisfying knowing how far you've come to due your own hard work. Nobody can do this for you and that's why I love it so much. Every day the new goal restarts - beat my old self.

Nice job man! I ran into a guy yesterday doing that workout - I actually had no idea what it was and I asked him. I was blown away - haha not for me!! Props man!

Recommendations for fairly healthy carbs to load up on tonight before a PT test tomorrow?

Just eat your normal diet. Don’t eat too much so you don’t feel bloated and heavy.

Carb loading is usually done two weeks in advance.
And honestly... has more to do with the training peak and taper than the carbs themselves. Unless you are depleating your glycogen there is nothing to replace right?

2 weeks notice would’ve been nice, I got 17 hours notice.
I typically don’t have a big issue with feeling bloated from the night prior, but I do make sure to only eat a clif bar and drink water the morning of if my PT test is AM, it really sucks when they do them PM.

I think I’d eat a good burger the night before. Not too heavy but gets your spirits up and body happy

That looks really good, we ended up with pasta and garlic bread.

I’ve been working on my pushups as they are what I struggle with and today my boss mentioned that on his PT test he will do 5-10 reps and then rest, another 5-10 reps, rest, and so forth until the 2:00 is up or he calls it.
Have any of you tried a method like that?
What killed me on my last test was I went to near exhaustion before resting and then only got 3 more after the rest, in all of my PT test’s I’ve never had good luck going to the resting position but I’ve always pushed myself to near exhaustion before resting also.

If you’re only doing 5-10 push ups that shouldn’t be too hard, depending on how long the rest is...

Usually my push up workout is doing 5min on the clock and you go to failure and rest the remainder of each minute. So you start doing push ups at 0:00 and if you do 30 push ups in 30 seconds you’d rest the remaining 30 seconds and start again at 1:00 and so on until the 5min is up. Obviously the rest gets longer towards the end as your sets are shorter as you fatigue sooner

That’s a good round, I’ll have to steal that and put it in my workouts.
My arms get tired even in rest position (they’re weak, I’m heavy) but I’ve only tried down dog rest, apparently low rest (looks like Cobra pose) is allowed but I’ve never tried it.

The longer you're in the up position more your body will start to fatigue. Best to knock them out as quickly as possible. Do as many as you can right away, then rest 5-10 sec and do a few more. Repeat until you collapse.

I rest in down dog too, cobra would help if your lower back was giving out...

I also rest by sitting back on my heels and shaking my arms out, but I guess that may not be allowed on your test
