I think there is nothing wrong with the notcher, just the hole saws.

Left side tube is the notch before the washers, the one on the right is the one after the washers. 15deg notch, 1in tube.

I'm having a hard time seeing a difference.

I had to jb weld the sleeves cause the fell off the first time I used it. I agree on the hole saw although last Friday I used the cheapo freight ones to cut some holes on my firepit/grill project. 3/16 thick, just took my time. 8 holes total, not a single tooth broken.

There is a difference, hard to notice on the pics but there is definitely a difference. Basically one side cut lower than the other.

Hope you really trust your weld and penetration. Looks like you are only really hanging on barely by the weld alone...

Built this out of 1/8” angle using 3/32 6013. My welds look fucking terrible when put to practical use vs practice. I think that’s the most important thing I learned, I can practice all I want but when it comes time to build shit, my welds turned out disgusting. But the way I designed it, it should be strong enough to hold water in the bed of my truck lol.

Sliders all welded, ready for paint and burned on the truck later this week.

I'm hoping the process I used will hold together. The center layer of the clevis is part of the channel, then I welded 'outer' layers of plate on either side. I beveled welded the curved face (yellow) and welded the back side (red).

So I am getting the itch to learn how to weld, and happen to be in the middle of buying a home.

It sounds like a ~50A breaker is needed and a 220 plug is advised. Is this something that is pretty easy for an electrician to do or do I still need to do some homework?

Just looking for an easy MIG machine to do some simple projects. Not looking to build a hammer truck or anything...yet :D

I would hope a Electrician would have no problem.

This will be easy work for an electrician.

I've got my welders all on 30 amp breakers.

If the fuse box is near the shop, 50 amp is overkill.

Whatever welder you buy, just look at the current requirements in the manual. My Miller 211 works great on a 20A 240v circuit.

RTFM? That's too easy! Thanks, I dunno why I didn't think of that.

Looks like the MigMax 215 will do fine on 240V as well as the millers.

Providing there is room in the panel a 240V/30 amp breaker and the wiring for the plug should be a very simple job for an electrician. It looks like that migmax 215 draws 24.8 Amps at full power.

I have a sub panel in my garage and was able to wire my own plug for like $40. Took all of 30 minutes to do it.

Agreed. And I don't think I am ever gonna need 200 amps for any sort of project I'll need it for.

Then again, why not have the ability to make killdozer 2.0

    They make 11018’s as well.

The 90’s have chrome in them. Pre heat and post heat is always advised.
