you have to factor in development, cost of goods, and his time. i'll bet he's hardly getting rich off this, but he's following his passion

    9049 here, I haven't shipped yet either.

I'm assuming he tried to squeeze out a batch of orders before the holiday and we simply missed the cut off.

Right, that's what was the response to that post that I saw the 30k mentioned.

Most companies would have said, "pay for the improved version to fix problems with the old version". Hopefully I'm not putting Meso in the corner by this statement.

For those of you concerned about not having a physical key.. I just tested my valet key on both the glove box and tailgate and it worked fine for both. I plan on just adding the valet key to the ring with the fob since I keep both of those locked at all times. Besides it's much less annoying than having to pull out that tiny sucker that's built into the OEM fob. I end up dropping it between the seats more often than not (I only carry the key fob with nothing else attached).

My understanding of a valet key is a key that can only unlock/start the vehicle but cannot access other locked components of the vehicle i.e. glovebox, tailgate(of course in a car the trunk could be popped from the interior but the glove box still wouldn't be accessible with the valet) At least that's been my experience in the past with cars that did not have a keyless entry

I know we all love the key fob but I have to give it to @MESO for the attention to detail on the packaging. The tin hardware case is a nice touch along with the rest of the packaging.

It seems by some of the responses some have a loose lock and unlock some only a loose unlock while some not at all

My lock was press fitted in basically while the unlock and panic was a loose fit. Once buttoned up the lock obviously doesn’t move/rattle because it was a tight fit, the unlock is loose and small rattle (and that’s vigorous shaking) and the panic (even though it was a loose fit is not loose or rattle.

I tried both the black and red unlocks and both seem the same for me. As a side note can I start the bidding on the black flat bar for let’s say two.fiddy… I’ll even cover shipping

Mine is having the same lose unlock button issue. There is a gap and it rattles when its put together. Still feels like a great product besides that issue though!

Am I the only one who doesn’t know how to easily put the titanium key ring on? Thing is harder than shit to attach on :frusty:

It's stiff at first but after the first couple of key it's easier. I use it as my main "hoop" to hold all my keys, then a tiny ring branching off to hold the fob. It allows for a little more mobility.

I was thinking of doing it that way as well, but I like knowing that the titanium ring isn’t going to get detached from my carabiner now from some dinky smaller ring.

All hooked up. I do have the loose lock and unlock button issue as well but I’m not that concerned.
