I have decided to pass on setup I was looking at. Too many uncertainties and what ifs surrounding the project.
Plus I can use my money elsewhere on truck.

In my humble experience the saying 'buy once cry once' is pretty spot on with lots of these mods.

Not saying there isn't plenty of ways to do fun and satisfying mods inepexnively, either

 

If I could meet myself when I first bought my truck I’d tell myself to just go straight into the SAS. Buy once cry once some good truck mod advise lol

What's everyone's opinion on toolboxes? I had a tonneau on my Ford but don't want to go that route this time. I have a toolbox at my parents house still that was an in bed for a stepside Ranger but it seems small. What's a good one for a 3rd Gen with a long bed? I searched on the 3rd Gen forums and there's about as many opinions add there are toolboxes on the market... I'd like to be semi permanent mounted and lockable, I'd also like to keep my small craftsman 3 drawer in it along with various other junk I don't want rattling in the cab.

 

The AR, didn't know you got a flatbed too.

I think I’m gonna go with my original plan and just stick with my current setup, but put mt tires on my stocks for trails. I do need to hit up our chop shop for a lil trim though.

Google for the sound deadener installs, replace it with "door panel removal" for good looking girls taking door panels off.

 

I didn't start with Taco tunes, but all the videos I found were theirs'.

 

Once my 4R is paid off I think SAS will be the next project on it. Either that or a little 1st gen runner to wheel and then set my tank up to tow/camp.

 

I wouldn’t be doing the SAS if I didn’t have a DD personally but I’m also doing full hydro

First gen sounds fun

 

I had a low profile tool box for a number of years and never had issues with people breaking into it. It was a UWS brand. Locks worked but the gas pistons died after a couple of years. Now if I were to have anything, it would be cover of some sort.
