    35. I did run 37 on the stock goodyears. I know I need to do the chalk test but haven't had a chance yet. I can try 32 but that seems soft, and I'm an aggressive driver although I'm teaching myself to slow down in the corners :)

I’ve run BFGs All Terrains and Mudders on all my trucks and Jeeps since they first came out and I have always run them at 32 psi. Not sure why these Falkens would be different. My understanding for running 37 psi was for increased fuel economy...

If I was worried about that, I would have bought a Prius or a Subaru and moved to San Francisco.

THANK GOD I’m not worried about my gas mileage! Now the number of empty beer cans in the bed of my pickup truck might be sumptin to worry about in today’s day and age.

Anybody remember when we measured distance by how many Coors cans were in the back of the truck?

Mine have the vibration as well. Maybe I'll try dropping the pressure down to 32 and see how that does. Like yours, mine goes away after about 15 minutes- once the tire has warmed up a bit. It really feels like it's just one wheel- passenger side front. I had them re-balanced to be sure that wasn't the issue.

I got the LT's and there is definitely more of a bump over stuff, but I'm also running them at 45 PSI.

Update: I left the truck at Discount Tire over lunch today. I got a call a few hours later and they said the tires were "pretty out of balance" and one tire would have to be replaced because it was "significantly out of round". They're ordering the tire and I should have it in 3-5 days. The drive home went better than any of the others in the past few weeks. I can feel a lot of vibration in the seat and floor but that's due to the out of round tire still on the rear of the truck. Steering wheel is a lot smoother...not perfect...but tolerable. I'll reevaluate again when the new tire gets put on. I'm feeling a lot better about my purchase. I hate that it's taken at least 3 trips to Discount Tire to get this resolved. In a perfect world I would have thought that the defective tire would have been spotted on the initial install. I guess they don't teach competency in school anymore.

Something else I noticed...I've run with a SSP for years now. Truck performance on stock tires was tolerable but a lot worse with these tires. Using ECT helped tremendously. I'm saving my pennies for an OV tune, I hope to get that installed in a few months. Truthfully it's always been on my radar, I now have a legitimate excuse to get it.

    You mean 265/70 r17? That’s P, 4 ply.

Damn, your comment about the performance hit makes me kinda nervous to have my ko2’s mounted. They’re pretty much the same weight as the SL Wildpeaks.

Whatever the nomenclature, it's a 4 ply tire, not the LT version.

Bummer, I would think those would be easier to balance.

I think it all depends on your commute. Mine is terrible (only for one more week though!!!!!). 40-50 mins, at least half of which is under 40mph in bumper to bumper. It's possible that if you're mostly highway you won't see much change in MPG.

It's highly probable I'm simply dealing with inexperienced tire techs. However they are replacing one tire under warranty, so there is that.
