Eh, I still rember 1998 sweeping LA in the first round and was last game at the great western forum in inglehood. ( yes hood )Sure LA got some payback in 2012 but forever F em. They deserve to remain cupless .... Go Bruins !

Once the bruins got back into the swing of it. They pretty much dominated that game.

Yep. St.L sealed teams off, won battles on the boards and pushed the other teams around, all playoffs. They really couldn't do any of those things against Boston, once they got going. Adjustments can be made but it sure looks like it will be tough for the Blues to get to what they are good at. Boston is like the 1 team that they really can't do that to. We will see. I was shocked how fast Bruins come into the zone, back the Blues D off, then use that high fwd.

 

The 1st game seems to typically be our worst. The bruins coming back hard in the 2nd period really knocked us back on our heels. Hopefully we will know what we are playing against and be back next game

 

Before game 1 a reporter caught up with Bobby Orr.

Reporter- "Bobby, how do you think your 1970 team would match up with this current Blues squad?"

Bobby Orr- "We'd probably win 1-0"

Reporter- "Only 1-0?"

Bobby Orr- "Yeah, well most of our guys are in their 70's now"

Sharks fans counted us out after g1 too, so did the stars. This game is sick whoever ends up sinking it deserves it. This will be a good series regardless of who takes it.

Whoever thought the Blues were done after game one hasn’t watched many games in the finals the last five years. Blowouts happen. Maybe it’s over in 5. Maybe it takes 7. You never know, but in the cap era you don’t get a whole lot of fluke teams in the finals.
