No, I’m saying people in this thread want to know whether they’re getting a good deal or not. My OTD price was $33.7k, but that’s with $2.1k I received for my trade-in. So really they gave it to me for $35.8k. Just wanting to make sure your truck’s price was accurate for others in here, that’s all.

I hear ya. Whenever a trade is involved it screws with what value you really got.

    Looking at a 2019 SR5 V6 4x2 Access Cab in MGM.

    MSRP is $33,315.00

    OTD is $29,742.00

Gonna try to get them down to $28,500

What’s an IMF? Those fees seem way too high. My title, license and doc fees were less than $500.

It’s a Infrastructure Maintenance Fee, SC has this instead of a sales tax. You won’t be able to title or register the car/truck until you pay the IMF.

Doc fee at my dealer here in FL is $787. Don’t understand it myself, but they’re just higher at some.

Never knew that. Actually much better than the sales tax I paid. Are the doc fees standard there as well? I’ve had success pointing out other dealers have lower fees, and sometimes they’ll actually publish them in the website.

From what I can tell, you’re getting more than a 14% discount already. Pretty nice.

I'm in the process of negotiating with the dealer. I'm getting a 2019 TRD Sport in mag gray, SBDC. The truck I'm looking at only has the tech package; no floor mats, no $70 iphone cables, nor the TOYOGUARD Platinum (seriously, $700 for that? I can change my own oil & rotate my own tires).

The MSRP is $35,660. So far they're throwing in running boards (I'm getting the black oval tube steps), and offering it to me OTD for $34,996. Considering that's only $664 below MSRP, I'm not sure it's a good deal. The running boards are only $439, so I guess technically you could say I'm getting it for $1,103 below MSRP...still only 3% below MSRP. I'm also trying to get them to throw in a roof rack and tonneau cover. With those, I would pretty much be getting it for $2k less than MSRP. At least that would bring it to about 5.6% less than MSRP...but with everybody saying shoot for about 7-10% below MSRP, the manager is being stubborn as hell. I would also love for them to drop that $299 charge for infinite nitrogen :eyeroll:.

Just go home and I'm sure they will call and sweeten the deal . I had 5 inch oval running boards on my last truck and never did like them . I have the cast aluminum ones my tacoma and really like them , maybe up trade for those if they will .

What didn't you like about the oval boards?

I kept telling them I was coming back in August until they got me where I ended up. I guess I could’ve rejected the service plan, but I’m outta town a lot so it’s easier for me to have them do it.

Metallic Black Double Cab '19 TRD Sport 4x4. $34,036 out the door. I took the rebate instead of the 1.9 because I got close to that rate from my credit union. All weather mats, clear coat and door edge protector included. There are ~8 toyota dealerships in what I"ll loosely call the Portland metro area (including the couv and salem) and I spent quite a bit of time negotiating mostly over email ping-pong'ing back and forth between a few of them, constantly lowering the number I could get. For what it's worth, I got almost every dealership with the "clear" pricing to move off their number at least once. I found it helped to know exactly what I wanted from a configuration standpoint so they could go find it and offer a number knowing it was exactly what I wanted. Allows good faith negotiations all across the board. I timed it so I pulled the trigger at the end of a month, and I am confident I got a deal that I would not normally be able to get. Other dealerships didn't believe me that I got the price I did. The Portland area market is weird when it comes to supply/demand, it's not a traditionally strong tacoma market. I got a dealership 30 min outside of the city to sell me a car that they procured from another dealership for $1k less than that dealership who had the car would have sold to me for. Which I dont understand at all, but I've never been in the industry.

    Hey guys,

Just another bump for Aaron from Freeman Toyota. Contacted more that 20 dealers, and no one would match the discount they gave me. Had to wait about a month, but last week I picked up my 2019 Cement DCLB TRD Offroad with tech and premium packages for 36,824 + TTL. Oh yea, and weather mats. It's my first taco and I'm excited to add a few mods.

    MSRP was $39,200-ish
    Settled on $35,300

Could have got it for $34,300 but I opted for the 1.9% financing instead of the 1000 cash back.

It's kinda shitty how they do that . They tell about the 1000 cash back and the 1.9 financing but then they tell you that its one or the other .

    I agree.

I secretly knew you couldn't when going into the dealer but played it off like I didn't, and used that as leverage to get a few hundred more off the price, lol. I said something like "Oh, I was under the impression you could get both... hmm, I'll need to think about this then". The guy then proceeded to cut more off the price.

I’m telling the dealer I may settle on this OTD price if they throw in running boards, a roof rack, and a tonneau cover. Can anybody tell if this is a good deal? I forgot to mention it’s not 4x4. So $34,996 for a 2wd mag gray SBDC TRD Sport with just the tech package. It’s actually $32,746 OTD but I’m factoring in $2,250 I’m getting for my trade-in.
