My 2010 Sport scoop has two bumps at the backend of scoop. One on each side. I have a 04 4Runner sport with scoop and it is clean. I took my Tacoma to the dealer. The mgr saw it, and said thier are two bumps. He took photos. Then he said lets look at some other sports... There was two, we looked at them and they had the bumps. He said, looks like it was ment to be there. WHAT!!! I told him that it was a flaw. He said he will tell a Regenal Mgr that comes once a month about this. He will set an appt with me. So the question...any one else have this problem with thier Scoop?

are you talking about where the hood transitions from scoop to flatness close to the windshield? if so, i had that on my 07 and my 09...just the way the hood was designed

That was what the dealer said. I think, if you were to look at the bule print. This would not have been intended.

it may not have been "intentional", but it's been on every sport hood i've ever seen. it's just the way the metal is bent to accommodate the curvature of the scoop

It seems to increase to in size. (Not sure if i like were this is going) the more I look at it. I had the truck only a week, and was it made here in the states? The 4Runner I have was made in Japan. The scoop seems to conform smoothly

I never noticed these "bumps" you're talkin about on mine, but I'll have to check. Can you post pics of your hood showing these bumps?

Mine has the same "bumps". At first I though it was a flaw until I realized that it was exactly the same on both sides. I don't even really notice it now. The only real flaw with the scoop is that it has no purpose.

Mine has them too - its harder to see on the mag grey but they were definitely apparent on the silver. You can really only see them from inside the cab.

    Don't worry about it - its a non-issue.

Got them too, not a big deal, really more concerned with the amount of rust on my undercarriage than two little bumps on my hood scoop.

...because you never complain or worry about anything being so cognizant that you have it better than the people in Haiti, China, Pakistan, or whereever.
